We are so thrilled to announce our Under 12’s Coach, Martin King was yesterday announced Surrey Grassroots Coach of the Year 2020. This is testiment to the hard work and dedication Martin has shown over the last season.

Due to Covid-19 the awards ceremony was a virtual ceremony this you. You can watch the awards here:

With Jay winning last year and Martin this year we really do have a winning coaching team!

We are putting the 2019/2020 season to bed with one final training session for all players, on Friday 24th July. We will then be taking a few weeks off to recharge our batteries. Before beginning our 2020/2021 season on 21st August. We will resume training under normal conditions back on the AstroTurf!

We have welcomed a few new players over the last week, with a few more set to join our new season but still looking for players in all age groups, especially 12-18 year olds.

PLAYERS WANTED – 13th July 2020

With a very strange ending to the 19/20 football season East Surrey Hawks are looking forward to next year, with this in mind we are looking for additional players to strengthen our 12-18 years teams.

No previous experience is required, all children are supported by FA qualified coaches with an understanding of disability and how this affects a child’s ability and confidence. We firmly believe all children should find enjoyment in sport so we have no trials to join our teams meaning everyone is welcome and we will guarantee match time for all players.

Whilst our under 12’s team are looking great we do still have some limited space available. This is open to children aged 6-12 with additional needs, disabilities and other health conditions.

If you would like to find our more please do get in contact with us. Our contact details can be found here

It was so lovely to welcome so many of you back to training on Friday. It feels like we have been apart for so long. I hope you all enjoyed our training session as much as our coaches did!

We were really impressed with how responsible & sensible you were throughout the session. I know a few of you are planning on returning this friday so we look forward to seeing you & how much you have grown in the last 12 weeks.

The coaches have the difficult task of planning appropriately socially distanced activities each week and so it would be really helpful if you could let them know if you are planning on attending. Lookout for their what’s app shout towards the end of the week.

Finally, for those who are currently unable to attend training due to shielding, please do make contact with the club. Richard, as shielding himself, is able to offer some virtual one to one sessions or activities you can do at home to keep up your fitness & skills.

COVID -19 -16th March 2020

Following advice from the Surrey FA, as one of their chartered standard clubs we have taken the decision to suspend training for the foreseeable future. We will keep you informed of any changes via our whats app group and Facebook page.

Behind the scenes the committee have been busy and we are pleased to announce we have been awarded The FA Charter Standard status. What does this mean I hear you say… This means as a club we have been recognised as an excellent place to play football. We have demonstrated a positive football environment where children can develop their skills, keep fit and enjoy playing as part of a friendly, inclusive community. Achieving this will allow us to access more support from the Surrey FA and help us to continue building on the successes of the last 6 months.

We are pleased to announce we have secured sponsorship for the 2019 / 2020 football season. PMPrinted has sponsored the purchase of our kit.

CONGRATULATIONS to Jay our Chairman for winning the Surrey FA Coach of the Year 2019.  A well deserved recognition of all his hard work !!!!  Jay will be attending the awards ceremony in the few weeks and will now be put forward for National Coach of the Year.
